Chateau Beachwood is a ten-unit French Normandy-style building designed by architect Walter C. King and completed in 1937 in Beachwood Canyon, near the Hollywood Sign. The two-story property was converted to condominiums in 1989 and retains period detailing such as strip-oak flooring, ornamental plaster relief, and wood casement windows. The building carries notable Golden Age Hollywood history, reportedly built by Warner Bros. to house young actresses, and has counted well-known entertainment figures among its past residents.
