The Sun Rose Residences is a 40-residence building at 8420 Sunset Boulevard, completed in 2021 to a design by Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects and rising nine stories. Homes range from roughly 2,900 to 6,000 square feet, each reached by private elevator. EYRC treated all forty as separate sites, framing a different view from each, and stepped the building down the slope of the hill so that a run of pool decks and private rooftop gardens follows it; some of those decks reach 3,000 square feet and carry their own pool and spa. The interior architecture was designed in collaboration with Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
The building was marketed as Pendry Residences West Hollywood until 2026, and stands beside the hotel at 8430 Sunset that rebranded from Pendry West Hollywood to The Sun Rose West Hollywood in August 2025. Residents enjoy a 24-hour concierge, a fitness center, a rooftop pool and a garden deck, a full-service spa, and large private terraces with indoor/outdoor living.
