Overview

The Mercury, a 1962 tower in Koreatown.

The Mercury occupies a 22-story tower at 3810 Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown, originally built in 1962 as the Getty Oil Company headquarters and designed by noted Los Angeles architect Claude Beelman. Forest City Development converted the mid-century structure — clad in white marble, grey anodized aluminum, and bronze glass — into 238 residential condominiums in 2006. One- and two-bedroom homes range from approximately 600 to 1,600 square feet, and residents share a rooftop deck with a pool, spa, fitness center, fire pit, event lawn, and barbecue area, along with 24-hour security and underground parking.
