Corta Bella, a 2001 mid-rise in Pasadena.
Built in 2001 to a Spanish Colonial design with Moorish detailing, Corta Bella is a 19-unit, four-story condominium at 216 S Madison Ave in Pasadena's Playhouse District. Designed by architect Garo Minassian and developed by Madcore Homes, it was among the first new condominium projects built in central Pasadena. Two- and three-bedroom layouts range from about 1,100 to 2,300 square feet, many with private terraces and fireplaces, and the building centers on a landscaped courtyard with a fountain, a fitness room set beneath a pyramid skylight, and controlled-access secured parking.
